Monday 1 September 2003. ERT decided the method which will be followed for the representation of Greece in the Eurovision song Contest 2004! Mr Kalimeris (General director of ERT) and his collaborators, reached in the following decisions.

Mr Katsaros, will not be the president of the greek jury and will not have any connection this year with the Eurovision Song Contest. From the means October (very probably on 15 October), we will watch from the frequency of NET, a weekly emission similar with the Popstars, and there will be auditions all over in Greece (like You are a star from Ireland), where roughly at the month of March the jury will select 15 candidates and from them will remain 5!

In the mean time, two famous composers will have prepared 5 songs, for each finalist. According to our sources, theese composers are Giorgos Theofanous (Cyp 92, 94, 02) and Nikos Terzis (Gre 95, 01). In the means of March, will be realised one open Greek final, where the 5 finalist that has been selected by committee of ERT, will perform the songs that have been written from Terzis and Theofanous, and there will be televoting for the selection of the greek representative! We clearly see a mix of You Can Be A Star (Ireland) and Operacion Triunfo (Spain).
